Gracie's has a wonderful special on Saturdays which is buy one entree OR gyro and get an appetizer for 1/2 price. There were four in our party and we ended up eating and sharing the wonderful appetizers and we all took our gyros and main course home. The appetizers were a very nice size. We ordered baba ghanoush, a wonderful 7 layer dip, spanakopita, and domades. All the appetizers were very good and served with plentiful pita wedges. The domades had a wonderful flavor and texture. All the ingredients were fresh and servings were generous and presented nicely. The gyros and a main entree were made of thinly sliced pork, beef and lamb and was very nicely and lightly seasoned. The meat was very tender. Service was good and we were provided with drink refills and to-go boxes.

Gyros are pretty horrible. The sauce is runny and not much taste to it. I will never go there again.

Kind of cheesey décor, nice staff. I missed falafel a lot, but it really wasn't the best I have had. Not what I was hoping for. Fries are pretty good.

The only place for decent greek food in our area! Hummus and babaganouj is very good; lemon rice soup hits the spot. Gyros are okay, not wondrous. Portions are large for the price. Spanakopita is tasty too. I have never tried dessert there since I am full when done every time. Service is efficient and friendly.

Glad we found this little gem. We took our 2.5 year old daughter and 4 month old son which can be a real challenge. Gracie the owner gave our daughter a coloring book and toys to keep her busy. Really appreciated that. I had the Gracie's combo and wife had a gyro. We also had an appetizer I'm not sure the name. All tasted fantastic. It was our waiters 4th day so he wasn't the best but very understandable. Can't wait to go back for some wonderful Greek food.

Food is actually decent and seems to be well maintained. During a rainy-no one in the restaurant- and also an awards ceremony across the street for army... Myself and a friend had soup stolen-calamari- and gyros taken without permission. When i asked for a takeout box(during a noon shift) the gorilla girl(mustache) gave more attitude asking what size box do you need than an education in manners. I never expect perfection- honestly had to accept less than o.k. food/forced to deal with a horrible difficult thing I have ever met. my food back items from this muffin-top...... she was also training some dude- he apologized. it was not bigfoot ... i have doubts. The calamari was like her attitude- rubbery and made me vomit. At any point in being nice to this creature we were greeted with rude and disrespectful comments: I jokingly said_ how do you tip? She cheerfully obliged with a snarl/growl - you haven't done this before? 1.50 regardless of the MANY insults!!!!!!!!

Great staff! The owner was on vacation and left 2 of her workers in charge. The staff was amazing! They played with our 18 month old, asked all about us and where we were from. Gave our son treats and toys to play with to keep him calm so we could eat our dinner. The food was good. We had the sampler platter that the server recommended. The gyros was great! I didn't care for the spanakopita but my husband liked it. I may just have gotten a piece from an off batch. That and the outdated decor are the reasons I am giving it only 4 stars. We left there feeling like me made new friends! We will be going back!

Simply the best gyros in all of La Crosse county!! They give you an overwhelming portion of gyro meat. The veggies are always fresh and I love that a cup of soup comes with meal. Try the greek fries, they come topped with feta cheese! Also, they are kid friendly. Every time my 4 year old and I have gone in there for a mommy-son date, they make him feel welcome. Gracie is often there and brings him some coloring books and crayons. Also, the servers understand that kids usually need their food asap and always puts a rush on his order. The food and the service is AWESOME!! They would be greatly missed if they ever left La Crosse.

I've had much better greek food. The falafel was bland, the fries were soft and soggy, the soup had no flavor. Pretty disappointing, I had high hopes.

One of the closest restaurants to the La Crosse campus but I didn't see many students. Small place, might seat about 30-35 people but family orientated. It was the day off for public school kids and the waitress had her son there, so it's pretty laid back. The Gyro's lunch consisted of a cup of homemade soup and a gyro with a lamb/beef mixture, tomatoes, onions, and sauce for $5.99. I do not have gyro's very often but I have never craved them. After this one, I can imagine having cravings for Gracie's gyros.

Dirty, bland, and pricey. New to town and wanted to try the "authentic" Greek restaurant. Had falafel--they were small, but okay flavor. The "sandwich" was several falafel in a pita with 2 tbsp of diced tomato and onion. When I asked for Tahini, they brought me Tzatziki. After three requests for Tahini, the waiter asked what it was and then said they didn't have any. When I asked where the hummus was in the sandwich (which is listed as part of the dish on the menu), he pointed to the falafel and said that was the hummus. He finally brought me the hummus and charged me $1.50. Oh, and lettuce cost .75 cents. At least he was friendly. The hummus and Tzatziki were bland. The place was *very* dirty and hadn't been mopped (tiles) or rugs shampooed in a looooong time. Not a do-over.

New to the area and was excited to hear there was a place in town with "authentic" Greek food. We tried it for the first time having falafel and gyro wrap. Neither wrap was the worst we've had, but we'd both had better food and flavors from chain restaurants offering Greek food. Although the produce used was fresh, none of the food was seasoned well if at all. If you are someone who doesn't like flavor or seasoning, this is the place. If you are looking for a good hummus you know has some garlic in it, keep looking. It does in a pinch, but it was highly disappointing.

Very good Greek food. Definitely takes authentic to me. The Gyros are very good as is the hummus. I like this place, but I have a friend from Lebanon so says it's only passable. For myself, whenever I am craving Greek food, this place hits the spot. I think it is family run, as the waitress was the daughter of the owner. The soups were probably the low point of the experience, but overall a very good place to eat.

Oh, how I longingly remember Gracie's. After a long day of classes/meetings a few of us would end up here for non-Cartwright food accompanied by a delicious, refreshing pint of Spotted Cow. I would always get the soup (veg option) and falafel. And it was good, satisfying, and cheap. And it wasn't Cartwright.

Served it's purpose. It has been months since we had gotten greek (well, since Chicago actually) and this was recommended by "the lab partner" as a good restaurant. When we got into the area I remember that I had seen this when we first got to La Crosse but then forgot about it once we hit some of the stellar restaurants around here. We both got the gyro special - gyro, fries, and a drink. The gyro itself was solid - quality lamb, good pita bread, good veggies - but it was just not anything that jumped out at me. The lamb was not spiced much at all and the tzatziki sauce was kinda bland. I'm sure that we will come back here before we leave but I doubt that I will miss it.

Decent Greek. The best gyros and falafel I've had in La Crosse. It's just off UW-L campus with not much seating. We had a group of 8 and fit ok. If your looking for Greek, Gracie's is your place.

I can't believe they have the nerve to call his place "authentic". The portions were small & bland, & the gyros are 1 step up from the kits you buy at the supermarket. If you served this type of fare in Chicago's Greek town, you'd be laughed out of business. This place might seem passable to anyone who's never been to a real Greek restaurant, but those of us that know better won't be coming back. Awful.

I was amazed at the quality of this food, from the Greek coffee to the gyros to the desserts. You need to give this place a try--carry out is a great option.
